TANILBA BAY RURAL FIRE BRIGADE, Established in 1978,however the station had to be rebuilt in 1980 after a storm severely damaged the steel shed.


Tanilba Bay is part of The Lower Hunter Zone.
The Hunter Lower Zone is part of Region East and comprises of the Local Government Areas of Cessnock, Maitland, Port Stephens and Dungog.


Group South is in Port Stephens which includes the Brigades of Fingal Bay, Soldiers Point, Anna Bay, Salt Ash, Tanilba Bay and Lemon Tree Passage

.
Tanilba Bay is one of three brigades on the Tilligerry Peninsula with Salt Ash and Lemon Tree Passage the other Brigades.


The brigades has two appliances

a Cat 1 ISUZU 4x4 Dual cab and

a Cat 7 MITSUBISHI Single Cab
